This is a college magazine I found on google images. There is use of an unnecessary semi-naked girl on the front cover, therefore only really appealing to guys. You can clearly see the sexual gratification on the front of this cover. There are at least 5 different colours used for the fonts making it just a bit over the top, you should only really stick to 3 colours to give it a theme, and keep that theme throughout the magazine. Although the writing it clear and you know exactly what you'll find when you open the magazine, there is still a lot of blank space on the front cover, making it just a bit boring and not something I'd want to pay money for.

This college magazine on the other hand has a lot more going on. Its one I would pick up in college and flick through, or maybe even buy. The colour scheme is black white and yellow, with a one off eye catching pink splat, probably advertising a competition. The man on the front looks like a college student, therefore appealing to both sex in college. The subtitles are organised around the man, and not just scattered anywhere, like the magazine above. Having a dark background makes everything in front stand out and look eye catching, whereas the magazine above was bland and not very interesting.
